STATIC SEALING
A GASKET FOR EVERY TYPE OF STATIC SEAL
The primary function of a static gasket is to provide a seal between a liquid or gaseous substance and the atmosphere. Static gaskets or LATTY flange gaskets all satisfy the same high quality criteria. They guarantee repeated use in demanding environments with the same sealing efficiency.
Our range of industrial seals provides solutions for many applications. Whether it is gaskets for pipe flanges for oil or chemical industries, valve bodies for gas networks or pump bodies for the chemical industry, LATTY systematically offers a suitable industrial sealing solution.
Similarly, the selection and performance of an industrial seal depends on specific criteria such as temperature, pressure, type of fluid, various stresses (vibration, water hammer, cycles) and thickness.
STATIC SEALING: FIBRE/ARAMID
Made of synthetic fibres, reinforced mineral, aramid or reinforced carbon fibres, our seals have a double-sided anti-adhesive treatment to reduce the risk of corrosion. Most of our gaskets have very good mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance.

STATIC SEALING: FIBRE/PTFE
This range of seals is suitable for all industries using acidic media, solvents, hydrocarbons, chlorine, water and steam. Their high malleability ensures they seal even damaged flanges. This type of gasket is particularly suitable for fragile flanges.

NUCLEAR PRODUCTS SEALING
The LATTY GROUP has been a partner for many years of the main players in the energy production sector, and its range includes PMUC-approved products such as LATTYgold 92, LATTYflon 94, LATTYgold 925 and LATTYgold 92 G2F seal sheets and LATTYgraf REFLEX metal/graphite gaskets.
Multilayer graphite sheets and gaskets, ideal for high pressure and high temperatures.
The LATTY seal sheet is made of expanded graphite, with a carbon content of over 99%. It has multiple stainless steel inserts impregnated with an oxidation inhibitor. The insertion of stainless steel sheets improves performance under pressure, facilitates handling and the cutting of gaskets. Another strong point: the incorporation of sheet metal panels gives the gasket flexibility and ensures ease of cutting.
Graphite/metal seal for high temperatures and high pressures.
The metal seal consists of a ring of expanded graphite, pressed between two stainless steel rings. The latter are used as crushing limiters in order to protect the gasket by supporting all the mechanical limitations due to plumbing, thermal shock, etc. The LATTYgraf REFLEX gasket remains sealed under extreme and variable pressures and temperatures ((-200 to +600°C /500 bar maximum).
LATTYgraf EHT NUC
High-purity expanded graphite die-cast rings
LATTYgraf EHT NUC rings are made of 99.5% pure expanded graphite, without binder. Their temperature hold can reach 600°C. These seal rings have very good chemical inertia, very high thermal conductivity as well as high auto-lubricating capacity. LATTY seal rings have a very good performance in oxidising environments. The latter have an oxidation inhibitor giving them a mass loss of less than 4% at 670°C.
Autoclave seal rings with or without cup, in expanded graphite.
The LATTY seal rings are made by forging from high purity expanded graphite, without binder, with or without stainless steel anti-extrusion cups.
They can contain a corrosion inhibitor that guarantees the integrity of the materials and lasting protection for your equipment. The LATTY autoclave seals support surface defects and respect valve components for optimum maintenance.
EPDM-based elastomer seal qualified up to 1,700 kGy
The LATTY EPDM gasket was developed for nuclear applications and has good resistance to radio-sensitive environments up to 1,700 kGy. The LATTY EPDM gasket is also resistant to weather, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphoric ester hydraulic fluids, polar solvents (water, alcohols, glycols, ketones), steam and detergent. These gaskets are suitable for dynamic or static sealing in the following applications: pumps, industrial valves, bolted assemblies, compressors, motors, instrumentation, etc.
ACCESSOIRES ET OUTILLAGE DÉDIÉS AUX JOINTS D'ÉTANCHÉITÉ
MANUAL CUTTING MACHINE
Manual machine for cutting circular gaskets
Manual gasket cutting machines ensure accurate cutting of all materials such as leather, rubber, plastic materials, felt, vulcanized fibre or PTFE up to a thickness of 8 mm.
Their design allows gaskets from 80 to 1,250 mm in diameter to be cut easily and quickly without scribing.

ELECTRIC CUTTING MACHINE
Electric machine for cutting circular gaskets
Electric seal cutting machines have the same specifications as the manual versions. They make it easier to cut gaskets with the assistance of the motor. In addition, the electric version has a safety device that prevents accidental starting when connected.

CUTTING TOOL KIT
Circular gasket cutting tool kit
The kit includes a die holder and 25 dies for easy cutting of circular gaskets from 3 to 50 mm (graduated every 2 mm from 4 mm). The combination of the large number of dies covers a very wide range of gasket diameters.

TRAINING COURSES FOR SEALING SYSTEMS
FOCUSED ON SAFETY AND PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Every year, GROUPE LATTY organises multilingual training courses for bolted assemblies
Our training courses are dedicated to the selection of sealing solutions for bolted joints. They are geared towards the implementation of good assembly practices, to ensure the safety of your personnel. Reliability for your materials and preservation of the environment are also at the heart of training with a selection of the most suitable gaskets.
Our training has a theory component and a practical component. They teach about the design and specific technical details of sealing systems. The training aims to cover the different leakage phenomena and the establishment of specifications.
Recommending and selecting a sealing system according to the service conditions, and acquiring good practices for the assembly and maintenance of sealing on our instrumented benches are the main objectives.
THE STRENGTH OF A NETWORK OF SEAL CUTTERS
To ensure the marketing and cutting of gaskets, the LATTY GROUP relies on a dense network of technicians and engineers who are perfectly familiar with the characteristics and applications of LATTY seals.
This network enables the LATTY GROUP to offer its customers, both in France and abroad, a gasket cutting service that is as good as its products. GROUPE LATTY's partners are specialists in their field. They market and cut gaskets of all shapes and all materials depending on the specific requirements of their customers.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GASKET ORDERS
SOME ESSENTIAL STEPS
Afin de déterminer au mieux le joint d'étanchéité le plus adapté aux besoins des ses clients, les équipes techniques LATTY ont mis au point un formulaire spécifique. Ce dernier comporte des champs obligatoires et facultatifs.
Therefore, some data are essential for the processing of requests:
- Temperature,
- Associated pressures
- The type of fluid
The dimensions of the flange (type, standard, materials) are necessary for calculating the torque as well as the operating or tightening conditions.
GROUPE LATTY has developed in-house software to respond quickly to your requests.
